Something Happened on the Way to the Stargate.
and just what is an AI-Assisted Consciousness Amplifier?
So, as part of the research for the saga I’m developing (name dropping when the first books will launch) I’ve been gathering what would be called fringe interpretations of ancient history and knowledge.
There are a great many claims that are made about the distant past, their philosophies and technologies, and hopefully we’ll begin to unravel something closer to the truth in the coming years as we continue to make more interesting discoveries. However, one claim that relates to my series that I began thinking about recently was StarGates.
There are claims that a few unusual ancient stone monuments are stargates. This seems unlikely with our current understanding of reality, but it got me wondering just what would it take to create a ‘personal’ stargate and could one be created in, let’s say, a garage. To begin answering this question, I did what anyone in 2025 would do. I asked an AI (specifically, ChatGPT).
what woud be required to develop a device commonly known as a 'stargate'. That is, a room-sized portal that would allow near-instantaneous travel between different physical locations. And, are there any research projects to this end being done around the world?
To begin with, it gave me the usual and fully expected answer:
Developing a Stargate-like device—a room-sized portal enabling near-instantaneous travel between two distant locations—would require breakthroughs in multiple fundamental areas of physics and engineering. Here’s what would be needed:
Followed by the now-standard concepts (to anyone following worm-hole discussions in popular science articles) such as: exotic matter, quantum teleportation, gravity manipulation, etc.
But I wasn’t interest in what is known and accepted by modern science, I wanted to know if anything fringe might be able to offer a possible pathway. So, I asked…
What about if we put aside common scientific interpretations of reality and instead consider exploring lesser accepted views of reality such as the holographic universe?
In answer to this, the AI gave me some interesting morsels on the universe as frequency fields, simulation theory, and some possible usable consequences of holographic universe theory — in addition to mentioning the CIA remote viewing program (Stargate Project).
But there was something else I’ve not heard of. Nor was I able to find anything about it on a standard Google search (although this might not be surprising), or even the Google Scholar search…
Several times throughout the information that followed, ChatGPT mentioned what it called an AI-assisted Consciousness Amplifier (AICA) for “Manipulation of spacetime probabilities”.
When I asked what an AICA was, it described it this way:
An AI-assisted consciousness amplifier (AICA) is a theoretical device that would enhance human consciousness, perception, and interaction with reality using artificial intelligence. The idea is based on the premise that consciousness can influence reality at a fundamental level, particularly if we accept non-classical models of physics such as the holographic universe, quantum observer effects, or simulation theory.
If consciousness plays a role in shaping reality, then an AI-driven amplifier could help focus, intensify, or direct human intention toward manipulating reality—potentially including instantaneous travel by altering the informational or quantum structure of spacetime.
When I asked if such a device could be built, ChatGPT suggested four types of components that would likely be required:
Brain-Computer Interface - already in development (Elon Musk’s Neuralink)
AI-assisted Neurofeedback and meditation - already exists (devices like MUSE)
Quantum Consciousness Interaction - hypothetical but based on research by Roger Penrose and Stuart Hameroff, who are exploring quantum cognition via neural microtubules.
Resonance and Scalar Wave Technology - fringe science relating to the use of certain frequencies to alter consciousness. Already being explored by those delving into alternative ideas surrounding reality and possibly linked to ancient philosophies and practices.
I won’t delve into the specifics of how it could work in this article, but interestingly, ChatGPT suggests AICA might be possible in 10-20 years if the theories are sound. It also notes the existence of some parallel research projects (in addition to the technologies above), such as:
The Gateway Process (CIA document on hemispheric synchronization for consciousness travel).
Monroe Institute Experiments (altered states for nonlocal perception).
Philip Goff’s Panpsychism (viewing consciousness as fundamental to reality).
ChatGPT concludes with this tantalising tidbit (especially for science fiction authors)…
An AI-assisted consciousness amplifier would represent a paradigm shift in our understanding of physics, consciousness, and space-time. If successful, it could lead to radically new forms of movement, possibly enabling near-instantaneous travel.
Anyway, that’s what I discovered on the way to the stargate. I think I’m going to delve further into this by incorporating another idea I have that ties strongly into my series. But more on that another time.
Until next time…
Good health. Good friends. Good fortune.
